Members of the Hong Kong United Youth Association interacted with HKBU students
A delegation of 13 members from the Hong Kong United Youth Association (HKUYA), led by its Chairman Mr. Andrew Fan, paid a visit to the University on 13 January 2016. Professor Roland T. Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor, extended his warm welcome to the delegation. Founded in 1992, HKUYA aims to enhance the ties among young people in Hong Kong, the Mainland and overseas. Over the years, the Association has organised a variety of youth development activities including seminars, talks, training courses, summer internship programmes and student exchange programmes with the aim of nurturing talent for the benefit of the community.
The visit began with a sharing session at which the delegation introduced HKUYA to HKBU student representatives and briefed them on its upcoming activities. The students also took the opportunity to actively express their views and expectations of youth development programmes. Their discussions were very fruitful. The delegation then visited the Academy of Film and the School of Chinese Medicine. They were warmly received by Professor Frank Fu, MH, JP, Associate Vice-President and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation; Professor Li Min, Director of the Teaching and Research Division of the School of Chinese Medicine; Professor Gordon Tang, Director of Student Affairs; and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement.
