Sun Museum celebrates 1st anniversary and holds an exhibition
The Sun Museum, established by the Simon Suen Foundation, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, celebrates its 1st anniversary and is holding an exhibition entitled “Eternally Revolving Twin Rocks: Qi Baishi and Shi Lu” featuring over 40 pieces of Chinese painting and calligraphy from two Hong Kong private collections. The public can enjoy free admission by appointment and the exhibition will be held until 9 July 2016.
The Opening Ceremony was held on 5 May 2016. The officiating guests included Ms. Florence Hui, SBS, JP, Under Secretary for Home Affairs; Dr. Wilfred Wong, GBS, JP, Chairman of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council and Chairman of the HKBU Foundation; Dr. Louis Ng, Deputy Director of Leisure and Cultural Services; Mr. Linus Cheung, JP, Chairman of the Council of the Centennial College; Dr. Simon Suen, JP, Founding Chairman, Mrs. Mary Suen, Founding Director, and Miss Chloe Suen, Chair of the Simon Suen Foundation; and Mr. Yeung Chun Tong, Director of the Sun Museum. The event was well attended by around 200 guests including Mr. and Mrs. Peter Lau, Directors of the HKBU Foundation, and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement.
