HKBU Diamond Jubilee Wines Tasting Event

The University held the HKBU Diamond Jubilee Wines Tasting Event on 6 June 2016. Officiating at the event were Dr. Kennedy Y.H. Wong, BBS, JP, Managing Partner of Philip K H Wong, Kennedy Y H Wong & Co., Mrs. Pamela Chan, BBS, JP, Deputy Chairman of the Council and the Court, and Professor Roland T. Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor.

On the occasion, Professor Ricardo Mak, Director of the Advanced Institute for Contemporary China Studies cum Professor of the Department of History, and Dr. Billy Mak, Associate Professor of the Department of Finance and Decision Sciences, introduced the red wines to the participants and shared their wine tasting experience. In addition, Dr. Mak gave an introduction to the HKBU Wine Association formed by students and highlighted their recent remarkable achievements in international wine tasting competitions.

The event was well attended by about 100 guests including Mr. Bernard Wu, Honorary Member of the Court; Mr. William Leung, BBS, JP, Member of the Board of Governors and Chairman of the Alumni Committee of the HKBU Foundation; Mrs. Susan So, BBS, Member of the Board of Governors and the Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation; Mr. Tyrone Siu, Member of the Alumni Committee of the HKBU Foundation; Mrs. Mary Suen, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation; Mr. Wong Nga Chung, Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation; other Foundation members as well as staff, alumni and students of HKBU.
