HKBU receives generous support from Bethel Mission of China
The University recently received generous support from the Bethel Mission of China, designated for a research project entitled “Centennial History of Bethel Mission of China” by the Modern History Research Centre of the Department of History.
In appreciation of the donor’s generosity, a recognition ceremony officiated by Mr. Peter Lim, General Secretary of Bethel Mission of China, as well as Professor Roland T. Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor, was held on 18 October 2016.
Guests and HKBU representatives attending the ceremony included Rev. Dr. Luk Fai, President and Dean of Bethel Bible Seminary; Rev. Dr. Samuel Yau, Senior Pastor of Bethel Mission of China (H.K.) Limited Tsun Lei Church; Mr. Lo Ming and Ms. Ng Chiu Mei, Supervisor and Principal of Bethel High School respectively; Mr. James Chan, Deputy General Secretary of Bethel Mission of China; Professor Clara Ho, Head of the Department of History; Professor Chung Po Ying, Director of Modern History Research Centre; Professor Lee Kam Keung of the Department of History; and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement. After the ceremony, Professor Chin hosted a lunch for the guests at his residence Shiu Pong Hall.
