Mr. Billy Hung, Member of the Board of Governors of the HKBU Foundation, and his family members hosted a birthday dinner on 6 November 2016 for Dr. Hung Yeung Pong Wah, Honorary Trustee of the HKBU Foundation, in celebration of her 90th birthday.

Several representatives of the University were present to extend their warmest congratulations to Dr. Hung. They included Mr. Cheng Yan Kee, BBS, JP, Chairman of the Council and the Court, and Mrs. Irene Cheng; Dr. Wilfred Wong, GBS, JP, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the HKBU Foundation, and Mrs. Hayley Wong; as well as three former President and Vice-Chancellors and their spouses Dr. Daniel Tse, GBS, CBE, JP and Mrs. Kitty Tse; Professor Ng Ching Fai, GBS and Mrs. Angeline Ng; Professor Albert Chan, JP and Mrs. Mabel Chan; Professor Roland T. Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor; Professor Frank Fu, MH, JP, Associate Vice-President and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation; Professor Bian Zhao Xiang, Associate Vice-President and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement.

In celebration of this special occasion, Professor Chin presented a blown glass artwork entitled “Harmony”, which was tailor-made and designed by a Year 4 Visual Arts student, Wong Kei Suet Ice, to express our heartiest regards to Dr. Hung for her significant contributions and untiring efforts in nurturing young leaders for the betterment of the community.
