Professor Frank Fu, MH, JP, Honorary President and former Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation, conferred the title of Emeritus Professor by Hong Kong Baptist University on 28 December 2016 , in recognition of his distinguished and sustained contributions to academic work and the University’s activities during his service of over 24 years.

Professor Fu was also re-appointed as Member of the Sports Commission for a term of two years from 1 January 2017 to 31 December 2018.
