S.A.S. Dragon Holdings Limited, the parent company of S.A.S. Lighting Company Limited, hosted a cocktail reception to celebrate its 35th anniversary on 20 December 2016. S.A.S. Lighting Company Limited is Director of the HKBU Foundation. The reception was officiated by Mr. Stanley Yim Yuk Lun, JP, Chairman and Managing Director of S.A.S. Dragon Holdings Limited, and was joined by Mrs. Yim Tsui Yuk Shan and Mrs. Mary Suen, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation and Director of the SML Group. Over 700 guests were in attendance. Professor Rick Wong, Vice-President (Research and Development), and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement, attended the reception on behalf of the University.
