Members of HKBU Foundation attend “Still Human” screening event

HKBU’s Academy of Film organised a screening and sharing event for the film “Still Human” on 13 April 2019. Alumna of the Academy Ms. Oliver Chan and renowned actor Mr. Anthony Wong, director and leading actor respectively of the film, were the guest speakers of the sharing session. “Still Human”, a movie written and directed by Ms. Oliver Chan, won three awards – Best New Director, Best Actor and Best New Performer at the 38th Hong Kong Film Awards.

The event was well attended by around 250 guests including film practitioners, Foundation members, friends of the University, as well as staff and students. They included Dr. Kennedy Wong, BBS, JP; Ir Dr. K.K. Wong, GBS, JP; Mrs. May Suen; Mr. Edmund Au; Mr. So Wing Kin; Mr. Wong Nga Chung; Mr. Tyrone Siu; Mr. Alex Leung; Mr. Bernard Wu; Ms. Agnes Wong; and Ms. Quince Chong, JP. Dr. Clement Chen, SBS, JP, Chairman of the Council and the Court; Professor Roland T. Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor; Dr. Andy Lee, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary; Mr. Yeung Chee Kong, Associate Vice-President (Engagement); Professor Eva Man, Director of the Academy of Film; and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation, also attended the event.
