The Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong hosts lunch reception to celebrate its 85th anniversary
The Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (CMA), Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, held a lunch reception on 23 September 2019 at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China and the Association’s 85th anniversary. Officiating guests included The Hon. Mrs. Carrie Lam, GBM, GBS, Chief Executive of the HKSAR; Dr. Tan Tieniu, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR; The Hon. Matthew Cheung, GBM, GBS, JP, Chief Secretary for Administration of the HKSAR; Mr. Yang Yirui, Deputy Commissioner of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC in the HKSAR; The Hon. Andrew Leung, GBS, JP, President of the Legislative Council; and Dr. Dennis Ng, BBS, MH, President of the CMA and Member of the Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation.
A number of Foundation members and friends of the University also joined the occasion. They were Dr. David Wong, GBS, JP, Honorary University Fellow of HKBU; Mr. Irons Sze, BBS, JP, Honorary Member of the Court of HKBU; Dr. Ma Kai Yum, Senior Member of the HKBU Foundation; and Mr. Kevin Ng, Member of the Young Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation. Mr. Yeung Chee Kong, Associate Vice-President (Engagement), attended the lunch reception on behalf of the University.
