HKBU receives anti-epidemic proprietary Chinese medicine from China Medisun Holdings Limited

On 17 March 2022, The University received from Mr. Danny Wong, Chairman of China Medisun Holdings Limited, a generous donation of 5,000 boxes of Jinhua Qinggan Keli, a proprietary Chinese medicine, to support the anti-epidemic efforts of its Chinese Medicine Anti-epidemic Telemedicine Centre Against COVID-19. On behalf of the University, Professor Bian Zhaoxiang, Associate Vice-President (Chinese Medicine Development), and Professor Lyu Aiping, Dean of Chinese Medicine, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Danny Wong for his generous support, which enables the University’s transdisciplinary team of experts to provide integrated Chinese medicine prevention and treatment service for COVID patients, close contacts and carers.

Jinhua Qinggan Keli, a medication well known for its efficacy in the treatment of the novel coronavirus, has been widely applied in anti-epidemic work in Mainland China. The medication has also been distributed by the Government to COVID-19 patients at several anti-epidemic facilities.

Mr. Danny Wong, Chairman respectively of China Medisun Holdings Limited and Ju Xie Chang Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited, has donated hundreds of thousands of boxes of Jinhua Qinggan Keli to the Mainland and Hong Kong through his two companies to help the community fight the epidemic.
