Professor Alexander Wai, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor, recently hosted a lunch for Dr. Aron Harilela, BBS, JP, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Harilela Group and his wife, Mrs. Laura Harilela, to exchange views on the University’s strategic developments and to explore the possibilities for future collaborations with HKBU in the areas of art-tech and service-learning etc. They were joined by Dr. Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) and Acting Dean of Arts; Ms. Christine Chow, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary; Professor Johnny M. Poon, Associate Vice-President (Interdisciplinary Research) and Founding Dean of Creative Arts; and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation.

After the lunch, Dr. and Mrs. Harilela visited the newly established facility -- Visualization Research Centre and were warmly received by Professor Jeffrey Shaw, Chair Professor of the Academy of Visual Arts. The guests enjoyed the new forms of immersive experience through the world’s first 360-degree LED Visualization Cinema and the 180-degree iDome Cinema.
