Mr. Billy Hung, Member of the Board of Governors of the HKBU Foundation, and his family members hosted a thanksgiving dinner on 19 November 2015 for Dr. Hung Yeung Pong Wah, Honorary Trustee of the HKBU Foundation, in celebration of her birthday and the conferment of the honorary degree of Doctor of Humanities by HKBU.

During the dinner, Mr. Henry Hung, Mr. Billy Hung, Mr. Daniel Hung and Ms. Elizabeth Hung generously donated HK$890,000 designated for the Dr. and Mrs. Hung Hin Shiu Chinese Medicine Postgraduate Scholarship in celebration of their mother’s birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Hung Hin Hong and Mrs. Nora Yeung also donated HK$50,000 and HK$10,000 respectively for the University’s institutional advancement in honour of Dr. Hung.

Representatives of the University were present to extend their congratulations to Dr. Hung. They included Mrs. Pamela Chan, BBS, JP, Deputy Chairman of the Council and the Court; Mrs. Doreen Chan, Treasurer of the Council and the Court; Dr. Wilfred Wong, GBS, JP, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the HKBU Foundation, and Mrs. Hayley Wong; Dr. Moses Cheng, GBS, OBE, JP, Member of the Board of Governors of the HKBU Foundation, and Mrs. Betty Cheng; Dr. Daniel Tse, GBS, CBE, JP, President Emeritus, and Mrs. Kitty Tse; Rev. Dr. Ip King Tak, Chaplain; and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement.
