HKBU receives HK$1.2 million from Shun Hing Education and Charity Fund
The University recently received a generous donation pledge of HK$1.2 million from Shun Hing Education and Charity Fund Limited in support of the “HKBU 60th Anniversary Shun Hing Distinguished Lecture Series”. With a view to promoting creativity and strengthening the research culture within the University, the lecture series will invite twelve internationally renowned scholars from various fields to share on a wide range of academic topics or influential research projects as well as local distinguished individuals to share their experiences in creative production and their keys to success.
On behalf of the Shun Hing Education and Charity Fund, Ms. Vinita Chong, Manager of the Marketing & PR Division of the Shun Hing Group, presented a souvenir to the speaker Professor Peter Golding, Emeritus Professor of Northumbria University, who plays a leading role in Media, Culture and Political Economy, at a lecture held on 26 February 2016. HKBU representatives attending the lecture included Professor Huang Yu, Associate Vice-President and Dean of Communication, Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement, Ms. Rowena Li, Director of Communication and Public Relations, as well as staff, students and friends of the University.
