GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited and Prior Capital Limited sponsored the HKBU Symphony Orchestra to hold the "HKBU 60th Anniversary Gala Concert" at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre on 10 November 2016. The HKBU Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Professor Johnny Poon, Associate Dean of Arts and Head of the Department of Music, performed with world-renowned violinist Ms. Anne Akiko Meyers. Officiated at the cocktail reception were Ms. Christie Yuen, representative of GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited; Mr. Edmund Au, General Manager of Prior Capital Limited; Mr. Cheng Yan Kee, BBS, JP, Chairman of the Council and the Court; and Professor Ronald T. Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor.

The Concert was well attended by over 1,300 guests including members of the HKBU Foundation, friends of the University, as well as staff and students.
