HKBU receives HK$1 million from Professor Albert Lee and his sisters
The University recently received a generous donation pledge of HK$1 million from Professor Albert Lee, Chair Professor of the Department of Chemistry of HKBU, and his sisters Ms. Elizabeth Lee, Ms. Scarlett Lee, Ms. Annie Lee and Ms. Alice Lee. The donation will be designated for the establishment of the “Mr. and Mrs. Lee Shun Ching Scholarship Fund” in loving memory of their late parents (i.e. Mr. S.C. Lee and Mrs. S.W. Lee). Each year, the Scholarship will be granted to two Chemistry students with outstanding academic performance and to one Christian student with excellent servant leadership quality.
In recognition of the donors’ generosity, a cheque presentation ceremony officiated by Ms. Scarlett Lee, Professor Albert Lee and Professor Roland T. Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor, was held on 14 December 2016.
