HKBU receives HK$1 million from Shenzhen Century Global Supply Chain Company Limited
The guests toured around a broadcast news studio at the Department of Journalism

The University received a generous donation of HK$1 million from Shenzhen Century Global Supply Chain Company Limited in support of a research project in the Department of Management entitled "The Effect of Aesthetic Appreciation on Scientific Achievement and Misbehaviour: The Role of Creativity". In acknowledgement of the donor’s generosity, a recognition ceremony officiated by Mr. Eddy Zhang, President of Shenzhen Century Global Supply Chain Company Limited, and Professor Roland T. Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor, was held on 30 June 2017.
The guest and HKBU representatives attending the ceremony included President Zhang’s assistant Ms. Lily Tsai; Mr. C.K. Yeung, Associate Vice-President (Engagement); Professor Huang Xu and Professor Li Ji of the Department of Management; and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation. After the ceremony, Professor Chin hosted a lunch for the guests at his residence Shiu Pong Hall. He expressed his deep appreciation for President Zhang’s generous support for the University.
President Zhang and Ms. Tsai also visited the Department of Journalism, the Academy of Film and the School of Chinese Medicine that day, accompanied by Professor Lyu Aiping, Dean of Chinese Medicine; Mrs. Lily Chan; and Dr. Liu Jing, Coordinator of the Dr. & Mrs. Hung Hin Shiu Museum of Chinese Medicine.
