Prof. Roland Chin extended his warm welcome to Ms. Hung
Ms. Belinda Hung, Co-founder and Director of Hung Hing Ying and Leung Hau Ling Charitable Foundation, together with Dr. Lydia Cheng, Honorary Assistant Professor of the School of Biomedical Sciences of Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong, visited the University on 13 July 2017. The guests were warmly received by Professor Johnny Poon, Acting Dean of Arts and Head of the Department of Music; Mr. Man Shu Sum, Acting Director of the Academy of Film; Ms. Bonnie Chiu, Associate Head of Journalism; Mr. Kingsley Ng, Assistant Professor of the Academy of Visual Art; and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation.
Ms. Hung and Dr. Cheng first visited the Baptist University Road Campus. They were showcased the featured facilities and competitive edges of the Department of Journalism, the Academy of Film as well as the Academy of Visual Arts. The guests then visited the Department of Music, where Professor Johnny Poon introduced the strengths and uniqueness of the creative arts education offered by HKBU.
Professor Roland T. Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor, hosted a lunch for the guests at his residence Shiu Pong Hall after the visit. They were joined by Dr. Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) and Mr. C.K. Yeung, Associate Vice-President (Engagement). Professor Chin expressed his sincere wish to collaborate closely with Ms. Hung in nurturing young talents for the benefit of the community.
