UAO organises Luncheon Workshop on Fundraising
Speakers shared best practices for fundraising success via interactive presentations
The Workshop drew a full house of over 50 staff participants
With the aim of empowering the fundraising capabilities of our Faculties, Schools, Academies, and Offices so as to pursue the goals and strategies as set out in HKBU’s Institutional Strategic Plan 2018-2028, the University Advancement Office, Secretariat of the Hong Kong University Foundation, organised a fundraising workshop on “Tips for Soliciting Donations to Pursue Your Goals" on 19 September 2018. The Workshop intended to bring together colleagues from various units to gain a thorough understanding of fundraising and essential tips for gift solicitations.
The Workshop started with the welcoming remarks delivered by Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of the University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation, followed by the sharing of two experienced fundraising professionals, Mr. Andrew Allred and Ms. Amy Parker, Senior Vice-President and Vice President respectively of Asia Pacific of Grenzebach Glier and Associates. At the Workshop, Mr. Allred and Ms. Parker shared their professional expertise and best practices for fundraising success via interactive presentations and facilitated discussion.
The Workshop drew a full house of over 50 participants including Senior Management, Deans and Heads, academic staff and administrative staff of various Departments and Offices. In her concluding remarks, Mrs. Lily Chan expressed her wish to work in collaboration with different units in raising more funds in support of the University’s long-term advancement.
