The Inauguration Ceremony of the 57th Term Board of Directors of Yan Chai Hospital was grandly held at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong on 19 April 2024. Officiating at the ceremony were Mr. Chris Sun, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, and Mr. Clarence Leung, BBS, JP, Acting Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs, with The Hon. Mrs. Regina Ip, GBM, GBS, JP, Convenor of the Executive Council, as special guest. The official inauguration was marked by a handover ceremony, in which Mrs. Mary Suen, the Immediate Past Chairman of the Board, handed over the official seal to the new Chairman Dr. Marcella Cheung, being witnessed by participating guests.

The ceremony was followed by a celebratory banquet, which was attended by HKBU Foundation members and friends of the University. In attendance were Dr. Johnny Chan; Professor Alice Chiu, BBS, JP; Ms. Portia Chow; Dr. Charlie Ip; Dr. Maggie Choi; Dr. Elizabeth Law, BBS, MH; Ms. Linda So; Ms. Jacqueline Tong; Ms. Eileen Tsui, BBS, JP; Mr. Jeffrey Wong; Dr. Stanley Yim, BBS, JP; Mrs. Virginia Yim, MH; and Ms. Carmen Yim. Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation, attended the event on behalf of the University.
