FY Compliance Consulting and Chief Group jointly sponsor HKBU Symphony Orchestra Annual Gala Concert 2019

FY Compliance Consulting Limited and Chief Group Limited jointly sponsored the HKBU Symphony Orchestra to hold its annual gala concert at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre on 23 April 2019. The Orchestra was conducted by its music director, Professor Johnny Poon, Head of the Department of Music, and the concert featured a debut Hong Kong performance from the world’s top pianist Mr. Andrew von Oeyen. With special lighting effects used on stage for the first time, all members of the audience were able to enjoy a wonderful evening with fabulous music and lighting.

To extend the University’s sincere gratitude for the two sponsors, a pre-concert recognition ceremony was staged. Officiating guests included Mr. Edmund Au, General Manager of FY Compliance Consulting Limited, and Mrs. Merlin Au, Director of Prior Global Asset Management Group Limited; Mr. Peter Chau, Founder and Chairman of Chief Group Limited; Dr. Clement Chen, Chairman of the Council and the Court; Ms. Rosanna Choi, Treasurer of the Council and the Court; Professor Clayton Mackenzie, Provost; Professor Rick Wong, Vice-President (Research and Development); Dr. Andy Lee, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary; Professor Liu Jiming, Associate Vice-President (Research); and Professor Ricky Wong, Associate Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) cum Academic Registrar.

The Concert was well attended by over 1,200 guests including government officials, members of the HKBU Foundation, staff, students and friends of the University. They included Mr. Winter Au, son of Mr. Edmund Au; Ms. Amy Bai, Senior Vice-President of Prior Global Asset Management Group Limited; Ms. Fion Ng, Group General Manager, and Mr. Stephen Lee, Managing Director of Chief Group; Mrs. Zina Chin, wife of President Roland Chin; Dr. Lau Wah Sum, GBS, OBE, JP, former Chairman of the Council and the Court; as well as various Foundation members and University supporters including Mr. Leo Chan; Mr. Philip Kan; Professor Patrick Lau; Mr. Isaac Liu; Ir.
