HKBU receives HK$2.1 million from various donors

With the kind efforts of Mr. Hung Kwong Yee and Mr. Lam Cheung Chuen, members of the Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation, the University received generous donation pledges with a total of HK$2.1 million from a number of entrepreneurs in support of the University’s strategic development and the HKBU Fundraising Dinner.

Mr. Andrew Hung, son of Mr. Hung Kwong Yee and member of the Young Entrepreneur Committee, and Mr. Eric Chen, Chairman of Able-One Technology Limited, each donated HK$500,000 designated for the teaching and research development of the School of Chinese Medicine.

Mr. Gabi Lam, son of Mr. Lam Cheung Chuen and member of the Young Entrepreneur Committee, made a donation pledge of HK$500,000; Mr. Jeffrey Wong; Chief Executive Officer of Nova Furniture Limited, made a donation pledge of HK$200,000; Ms. Jenny Wong, Managing Director of Victory Concept Electronics Ltd., donated HK$100,000; while Mr. Terry Hui, Chairman of Sing Wong Group Limited, Dr. Charlie Ip, Founder of Wefi Limited, and Mr. William Yang, Chairman of Esscalate Cosmetics (Hong Kong) Limited, each made a donation pledge of HK$100,000.
