A group of entrepreneurs recently visited the University on 14 May 2019 in the company of Mr. Hung Kwong Yee and Mr. Lam Cheung Chuen, members of the Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation. They included Mr. Eric Chen, Chairman of Able-One Technology Limited; Mr. Terry Hui, Chairman of Sing Wong Group Limited; Dr. Charlie Ip, Founder of Wefi Limited; Mr. Jeffrey Wong, Chief Executive Officer of Nova Lifestyle Incorporation; and Mr. William Yang, Chairman of Esscalate Cosmetics (Hong Kong) Limited. They were warmly received by Dr. Kevin Yue, Director and Associate Director of the Teaching and Research Division of the School of Chinese Medicine; Ms. Jenny Lam, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Journalism; Mr. Joel Lam, Senior Lecturer of the Academy of Film; and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation. During the visit, the guests were showcased the featured facilities and competitive edges of the Department of Journalism, the Academy of Film and the School of Chinese Medicine.
Professor Rick Wong, Vice-President (Research and Development), hosted a lunch for the guests to exchange views on the University’s development and explore the feasibility of future collaboration. They were joined by Dr. Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning); Professor Bian Zhaoxiang, Associate Vice-President (Chinese Medicine Development); and Mr. Yeung Chee Kong, Associate Vice-President (Engagement).
